William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty Joins Forces With Juner Properties
Real Estate Leaders Share a Rich Heritage in Stamford
Stamford, CT - (November 9, 2009) Continuing its legacy of growth in a challenging real estate market, William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty today announced the addition of Juner Properties, Stamford’s premier real estate boutique.
Founded by Stamford real estate pioneer June Rosenthal, Juner Properties will now operate under the William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty banner from Juner’s iconic office location at 3 Roxbury Road - a pristinely restored antique schoolhouse built in 1840 and one of Stamford’s most recognized landmarks. The office, still known as the Juner building, will be one of three William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty brokerages in Stamford; William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty also has brokerages at 961 Long Ridge Road, near the Merritt Parkway, and at 545 Bedford Street in downtown Stamford. Rob and Randi Vannucchi, Director of Sales for William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty, will lead the daily operations of all three William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty brokerages.
In commenting on the firm’s new partnership, June Rosenthal, honored as a past Stamford Citizen of the Year, said that “Juner Properties was founded 24 years ago with a commitment to serving its customers with uncompromised integrity and personal attention,” adding that “preserving our firm’s heritage was paramount to our new business relationship.”
She further stated, “It is exciting to watch the blending of Juner’s signature concierge services with William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty’s global resources.”
Since its founding in 1986, Juner Properties has earned recognition as one Stamford’s premier real estate firms, including garnering award-winning acclaim as the “Best Residential Real Estate Company” for two years in a row, in 2008 and 2009, by Stamford Plus Magazine’s Best of Stamford Awards competition. The hand-selected group of sales associates at Juner Properties personifies professionalism at every level and aligns perfectly with William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty’s tradition of excellence.
“It is an extraordinary honor to welcome June and the entire Juner Properties family to the William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty family,” said Paul E. Breunich, President and CEO of William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty. “I am proud to announce that the collective efforts of our three brokerages in Stamford truly represent the #1 market share in the city. Juner Properties and William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty share a common heritage and leadership role in the Stamford real estate community, making our new partnership valuable for everyone, from our sales associates to area home buyers and sellers.”
Last month, William Pitt Sotheby’s announced the acquisition of seven offices in Westchester County, New York and Litchfield County, Connecticut. Those offices currently operate as Julia B. Fee Sotheby’s International Realty in Rye, Larchmont, Scarsdale and Chappaqua (NY) and Litchfield Hills Sotheby’s International Realty in Washington Depot, Kent and Lakeville (CT).
Founded in 1949 in Stamford, CT, William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty has evolved from its humble roots - with 28 locations throughout Connecticut and New York and benefits from an exclusive relationship with the venerable Sotheby’s Auction House, founded in 1744. In November 2008, William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty partnered with Building and Land Technology, a second-generation development company, headquartered in Norwalk, CT. Building and Land Technology has completed ventures worth more than $3 billion including over 4 million square feet of commercial development and 4,000+ residential units.
BLT is currently developing Harbor Point, a 6-million square foot mixed-use project on Stamford Harbor. Their trophy properties host the headquarters for Gen Re, GE Commercial Finance, Diageo, GE Real Estate, Xerox, GE Energy Financial Services, IMS Health and Hewitt. William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty Release 3Q Market Watch
William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty recently released its third quarter Real Estate Market Watch, announced Paul Breunich, President and CEO.
“After a protracted period of minimal sales, we are happy to report the positive market results of the second quarter of 2009 continued through the third quarter of 2009,” said Mr. Breunich. “Almost every market in Connecticut can now confirm that pending sales have improved for at least five straight months with pipeline sales ahead of both 2008 and 2007.”
Mr. Breunich’s report states that while sales volume is improving, prices in many categories statewide continue to have some downward pressure. Economists warn that the recovery will be slow and unsteady but the early signs are very positive. The improved pending sales figures, reductions in inventory and slower pace of price declines all point to a strengthening market.
“Buyers remain in the driver’s seat,” said Mr. Breunich. “They are seeking turnkey properties in great locations at a bargain price. In other words, buyers ‘want it all!’”
As a concrete demonstration of confidence in the housing market, William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty recently acquired the Sotheby’s International Realty (NRT) offices of Larchmont, Rye and Scarsdale, New York and the offices of Washington Depot, Kent and Lakeville, Connecticut. The brokerages in Westchester County, New York now operate as Julia B. Fee Sotheby’s International Realty.
“These are very successful offices with the most respected sales associates in their markets,” said Mr. Breunich. “We are excited to continue our firm’s growth in Connecticut and to extend our brokerage operations into the Empire State.”

William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty is one of the top-producing real estate firms in the nation with more than $2 billion in closed sales volume in 2008. The firm has approximately 700 sales associates in 24 offices throughout Connecticut. For more details, visit the website at www.wpsir.com.
